Various Light Sources
The scanner comes standard with visible, infrared (IR) and UV-A light sources. An optional coaxial light source provides reliable document authentication by revealing hidden security features.
OCR Technology
The scanner includes Optical Character Recognition (OCR) as a standard feature, accurately reading data from both the Machine Readable Zone (MRZ) and the Visual Inspection Zone (VIZ).
Barcode Reader
Reads 1D and 2D barcodes from both paper documents and digital displays, including smartphones, smartwatches, tablets, boarding passes, etickets and other mobile devices. (OPTIONAL)
RFID
An RFID module can be added to enable reading of RFID chips (Radio Frequency Identification) embedded in biometric passports and other RFID-enabled documents. (OPTIONAL)
NFC
For contactless data capture, the NFC (Near Field Communication) module can be added to provide contactless data capture and prepares the system for future identification technologies.(OPTIONAL)
Magnetic Stripe Reader
An optional bidirectional magnetic stripe reader (MSR) mounted on the front of the device reads magnetic stripe cards such as bank cards, credit cards and loyalty cards quickly and reliably. (OPTIONAL)
Chip Card Reader
An optional module is available for reading smart cards and chip cards, such as credit and debit cards.
SAM Module
Integrated Secure Access Module for reading SAM cards. (OPTIONAL)
China ID Reading Module
Integrated RFID module specifically designed for Chinese National ID cards. (OPTIONAL)
